Venturing into the cold market can be frightening and exciting at the same time. I know when I first started my journey into cold market prospecting it took a lot of courage to pick up the phone and start dialing.
The previous paragraph of learning skills is crucial when it comes to cold market prospecting, because if you don’t know what to say or how to say it then you will waste a lot time.
The great thing about the cold market is that the other person on the other end doesn’t know who you are. You can be anyone you want to be and they have no clue.
So why not have the attitude that you’re a top earner?
You can literally trick your mind into playing along with you, when you come off with an attitude of being successful your prospects will pick up on it. But it can also work both ways, if they sense you have no confidence and that you’re nervous then it’s a red flag.

Yes, it’s that simple.
If you do not take the first step you cannot succeed.
It will make your life much easier if you know exactly what to say to your prospects.

A good idea is to always time your phone calls, you never want to be on the phone with any prospect more then 5 minutes. It’s easy to get into situation where you are answering your prospects every question.
Now is not that time for that.
Your first call to your prospect should be you interviewing them, yes you heard me right!
They are not there to grill you, you are there to see if they are a fit for YOUR business.
When you come off as the interviewer versus them interviewing you is when things will turn around for your business.
Top Earners do not waste time on dead beats and neither should you, weed out the bad seeds!
The purpose of the prospecting call is to find the right person for your business and get them into the process of looking at your business.
You MUST get your business information in front of them ASAP and then schedule a follow up call.
Lastly give your prospects options for the follow up call, figure out their schedule and give them a couple of options for a call back time, don’t let them tell you when you can call.
